How to Use Partnership for Homeownership
- Rural Development provides your customer with a second mortgage, which
is typically a significant percentage of the purchase price. We provide
the first mortgage not to exceed 50% of the purchase price/value.
- All Partnership for Homeownership applications begin with Rural
Development - USDA. They'll not only send you pre-approved borrowers,
they'll also send you the application package.
- Rural Development determines the borrower's eligibility. As the WHEDA
lender, you'll add the WHEDA forms to the application package, make
disclosures for the WHEDA portion of the loan to the borrower, send
the application to WHEDA, and take care of the WHEDA loan closing documents.
- Get the product information you need. Everything from procedures to underwriting guidelines are available in the lender's manual.
- Get the forms you need, in
the format you prefer.
- Check out WHEDA's convenient online services. Rate lock or check the status
